What a fab game, and what the FA Cup is all about!
I love it

I thought we were going to go out in the first half I really did until Rooney and Ronaldo came on and changed the game for us.

Well done to Burton and welcome to the theatre of dreams!
See you soon.

the fiinal score was 0-0, Rooney and Ronaldo came on for Solskjaer and Rossi in the 2nd half, not a particularly strong side, but with the likes of Silvestre, O'Shea, Saha and Howard between the sticks, you'd have thought united would have walked it. but burton gave a good account of themselves against a top prem side and didnt fall like lambs to the slaughter. Good on you, Albion and thanks for showing the bigger clubs that not all teams in the lower divisions will falter in the first few rounds, this is what the F.A.Cup is all about.

no comment then on the ref who let the Man U defender off when he deliberately handled in the box - so costing Burton a penalty and realistic goalscoring opportunity :)

replay will be a formality I think as Uncle Alex plays the big boys from the start instead of expecting 1/2 a team of reserves to beat a bunch of part timers.

OMG wot a score line for Burton, at least they will get a big payday with the replay at old trafford, good on them

Must have missed that bit as the missus was bugging me throughtout the whole first half to do different things.
It wasnt Richardson was it?

I think the replay will be a formality but at least Burton will get a load of cash from taking us back to Old Trafford which is brilliant for them, good on Nigel Clough I say!

It was the young centre back - Jon Shaw (ex SWFC) turned him and the patsy stook his hand in the air like he was looking for someone to send to the toilet and he struck the ball.

Ref gave a freekick the otherway I think despite there being no contact from Shaw.

I t was Pique who handled, even I thought it should have been a pen to Albion, it would have given Man U somet to work for.

They'll have more money than Wendy soon :D

I think Saha can be added to Roy Keane's 'list'!

I still think Saha is crap.

That Kieran Richardson is a class act though.

I just want to add that this was a waste of a match to have on prime time TV. The result was only goinbg to go one way and although Burton get some money out of it so do Man Utd the greediest club in English football. Would much have preferred Leeds v Wigan or something similar where the game was likely to be close.

Totally agree, what a yawn - despite all the fawning media hype. I watched the Leeds v Wigan (worthy winners) the night before on Sky and that was excellent - not because it went to penalties. It was fast, open and fairly evenly contested, though Wigan had the better skill.

Against a non-league side..which is basically at a lower standard as a lot of premiership reserve sides so it's hardly a performance to rave about.

Yeah I forgot about Rossi. Even though it was Burton, he still looked amazing.

Saha was seriously poor...like the commentator said, I don't think Ruud was quaking in his boots, wondering whether he'd get picked for the game on Saturday!!

quote of the game came......

"you have to seriously question a centre half who wears gloves during a game" ha ha ha
