I'd seen this advertised but had forgotten it was on tonight - so thanks for the heads-up

Episode 3 was ok (watched it on E4 after episode 2). Is it just me or does it feel like it's a great idea but they've just not got it right? Feels like it's missing the magic ingredient or something.

might watch episode 3 next week I got bored....it was so slow. Seemed to me that the producers were trying to make another Lost, but IMO they failed miserably.

I have it on autoview, so may try again next week, but I'm not sure that my opinion is going to change.

it gets good reviews (as does Lost) in the US.

I'll watch a couple more episodes and then decide - it might be a slow burner....

Caught Episode 2.

Hmmmm.......

Found it a bit slow.

As I don't get what the fuss is about 'Lost' either I guess I'm probably a lost cause. :)

Enjoyed the first two episodes (and subsequent ones) of 'Threshold' more.

Its written by the same guy as American Gothic.

Can't you tell?

Both set in back parts of south america

Both Towns have a overpowering controlling evil sherrif.

Both have a hospital under the Sherrifs influence

Little girl sees things and harbours secrets, under the influence of the good dad and the evil sherrif dad.

Caleb sees things and harbours secrets, under the influence of the good carer dad and the evil sherif dad.

The Sherrif is married to a good girl who is slowly falling into the bad side, but still has a good heart.

Lucas Buck is dating a good girl who slowly starts falling into the bad side, but still has a good heart.

I could go on...

I think the comparison of this series to "Threshhold" is good - both starting at round-about the same time and dealing with the issue of alien invasion of America.

IMO, they just don't compare - "Theshhold" has been brilliant so far, top-notch tv, even the first couple of episodes were totally gripping, which I find rare in new series. Even "Star Trek" always had problems with those 'difficult' first few episodes. "Theshhold" and "Battlestar Galactica" and "Firefly" have all had that something-extra factor that reaches out, pulls you in, and won't let go.

"Invasion" doesn't have that quality.....

I saw the first 2 episodes tonight, and it was a bit slow, it did have the feel of "Lost" and it does remind me a bit of American Gothic, was I thought was really good.

Eddie Cibrian is the reason to watch Invasion, when he stripped off in bed to his undies.... :D .... he is/or used to be in a pop band called "3 deep"
