Do you think there are too many people in the Sheffield City Centre selling the big issue.Some are nice and friendly some arn't what do you think?

I said no, because I've never actually seen an unfriendly one, they all seem pleasant to me. I'd rather they sell big issue than sit in subways begging for money.

I agree that they are only trying to help themselves, and the Big Issue is quite a good read.

But there are too many in Sheffield city centre. Perhaps the Big Issue should organise their plots better. I had walking up or down past M&S being harrassed by people with clipboards and magazines.........it's an absolute nightmare.

Aaaah yes, we have a term for that: "The Fargate Run", and it bugs me too. I think the art of getting from one end of Fargate to the other without...
- being sold two copies of the Big Issue, one copy of some Socialist Workers mag, the Sheffield Star and a mobile phone case
- having to fill in a questionnairre
- being asked for "my bus fair home"
- repenting my sins less I be sent to Hell for all eternity

Was up in Crookes just before Christmas and the Big Issue seller (outside the Co-Op) was drunk/drugged beyond believe. He looked very unwell as was swaying backwards and forwards with no sense of balance. The funny thing was that I wanted to buy an issue, yet I didn't fancy giving this guy the £1.

(This is a rather pointless, yet related, story! :lol:)

please.. please put a TV guide inside (The Big Issue) before i go mad with frustration.
