I have two kid's aged 1 and 3, and would love to get involed in something active or not, where we can meet other familys.

Not into toddler group's.

when I was working as a journalsit for a local mag, I did a story on a place called the megacentre, which is sort of near Park Square roundabout. It's got a massive indoor play area, and adults seemed to be chatting away socially while the kids played.

Just remember thinking it seemed like a cool place and somewhere I didn't even know existed, having lived here for years now

I can second the Megacentre, Situated just below Hyde Park Tram Stop, on Bernard Rd (S2), the megacentre is a Very laid back place, and is fun for all the family!

Mega-Centre Website says:

Our aim is to enable young children to gain personal confidence, build relationships and to reach their potential in a fun, loving and secure environment where they are respected, accepted and valued as unique individuals.

Children love our exciting, colourful and fully equipped roof garden outdoor play area, (funded with the assistance of New Opportunities Fund) where they can play and explore safely with a roof top view of Sheffield!
