Ive heard on the radio and tv that corporation street is blocked near tenter street, does that mean the roundabout at the top is blocked also? anyone any idea where abouts it is actually closed to and from?

UPDATE 8AM - I HAVE JUST BEEN INFORMED THAT CORPORATION STREET IS BLOCKED OFF AT THE WEST BAR ROUNDABOUT.

The pipe burst is close to the junction of Corporation Street and the West Bar roundabout. One lane of Corporation Street is closed at the roundabout, but the traffic is still flowing.

You may experience a delay getting to work to to rubberneckers gawping at the spectacle - one idiot in a white astra van held me up for that reson.

What's the point of me coming to work early when twits like him hold me up eh?

On a lighter note, the pipe burst is actually very pretty - rather like the fountain at the peace gardens, but on a smaller scale.

Walked past it this morning, water was rising about 10ft in the air!
Avoid west bar, broad lane and bridge street if your driving today if you can.

I live on the corner of Bridge St / Corporation St - interesting getting to work this morning, made even more interesting by large lorries delivering steel & stuff for the construction of the new apartments at Riverside Exchange and/or the new Irwin Mitchell building!
