But you've posted anyway- such is your disgust...
I love it :)
Ermmm yes we actually have been looking at him for a lot longer as he was one of the players we were going to buy before Heinze came to the club.
So- you've saying then that fergie and the scouts couldnt have possible seen the lad before september then?

obviously they could have seen him.......
but as fergie has STATED...... they was not watching him since september
i'll judge him after a season, had plenty of brazilians come over here and do very little on the reputations then bugger off again.

Will that be a fab signing in the mould of Veron, Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba etc.

Just because Angelus says Evra is the new Carlos, doesnt mean he is Brazilian!!
He is French (in the same way Pat Vieira is - Senegalese but plays for France).
And as for him being the new Carlos - no thank you!
Hope he can defend a bit better.

I've done a bit of digging since you obviously went out of your way to make me look like a cock- so once again, I'm going to show you up on the forums.
This comes from directly ManUtd.com
http://www.manutd.com/news/fullstory.sps?iNewsid=292563&itype=466&icategoryid=120
I suggest you read it before you 'try' to come across as being a smart arse again :)
I like the part that goes- "The deal is done and he'll have a medical on Monday," said Sir Alex. "We've known about him for quite a while and he's improved every year. This comes direct from fergies gob mate- the words you want to look at are HE'S IMPROVED EVERY YEAR.
Now read what you've put above.
Dont try it again mate- I'll make you look a fool like I did before.
And that goes for the rest of you as well
Have a nice day :)
Robbie Loving 07-01-2006, 17:41 ok angelus.... here goes...... your post is flawed for a couple of reasons..... number one being..... that link being a reliable source, so if that link is a reliable source it claims he is a "centre half" but also refers to him as a full back, personally ive never seen carlos in the middle...... (the person your quoting him against)
secondly...... your very correct fergie does go on to say.......
"We've known about him for quite a while and he's improved every year."
but then he goes on to say....... "He's been playing at left-back for the last three years at Monaco and we've been watching him all season particularly since Gabi (Heinze) got his injury." to me this tells me they have watched him THIS season and have known about him for years......... so in effect your first post...... which states "and again someone we have scouted for a good few years!"
so as far as im conrcerned, you are a "cock" and you are WRONG, as fergie himself has stated he has not had him watched until THIS season

Oh dear Robbie!
Once again you are lowering the standard of the football chats again on the Sheffield Forum.
Evra can play centerhalf but is primarily used as a leftback but can also go forward ala Ashley Cole- I was quoting him as being like Roberto Carlos because thats Evra's main strength- going forward very quickly on the wing, ala roberto carlos.
Or have you not seen him play?
ALSO just to help you out as well- Roberto Carlos can play in the center.. but prefers the leftside of defence and midfield.
Fergie has been watching this guy for years before this year, as we have been wanting a decent left back since Denis Irwin left us- and Evra has been on the scouts books for ages.
I can remember being linked with him a good few years back now and evertime the leftback position comes up, he is linked again the same as Lizarazu was a while ago.
So yes-- he has been scouted for years not just this year as you blatantly said above.
Give it up trying to be master of all footballing knowledge Robbie, because you simply are not coming across as being someone who is high on footballing knowledge.
As I've said before- and I'm not going to get into another bitchfest with you - I've proved you wrong, you've got the proof you are wrong.. be a good lad and admit you dont know what you're on about :)
Robbie Loving 07-01-2006, 18:42 yes i can recall lizarazu being linked with man utd various times, but never evra......
your tryna twist the facts that are there..... in that YES they have known about him for years, but they have only scouted him this seasons..... YOU even provided them facts.
and on a personal note, ive never seen carlos in the middle of the defence, but like i say, its just something i havent seen, not saying it has never happened
Guderian 08-01-2006, 11:28 Dont want to get involved on this one, but neither of you has mentioned Evra can and has played in midfield.
Also, I would hope Ferguson has "looked" at most young players in Europe at one time or another.
If he hadnt he wouldnt be doing his job!

Yep, he can also play in midfield as well- cant wait until he signs tomorrow.... its going to be a very interesting couple of weeks.
Agent Gypo 09-01-2006, 09:28 I don't know much about this Evra, but surely he's got to be better than O'shea and Silvestre.........

LMAO! :)
I hope not.
JFKvsNixon 14-01-2006, 13:00 Not a good start for Eva, subbed at half time with your team 2-0 down.
Ousetunes 14-01-2006, 14:12 Yes, he was, shall we say, a little bit 'off the mark'.
Well done Manchester City, especially Stuart Pearce. They marked Man United out of the game and as a neutral I thought Man U simply weren't up for it.
Finally, a big Well Done to referee Steve Bennett for sending off that arrogant little show pony Ronaldo for that two footed lunge.
The fact he made no contact is irrelevant; it was intent. Moreover, if Ronaldo had been on the receiving end of that challenge he'd still be rolling down the M6 (and hopefully back to Portugal).
Agent Gypo 14-01-2006, 15:10 By todays performance, it looks like Fergie would have been better buying a rock hard midfield engine. No fight whatsoever.
On yesterdays performance a new Arthur Albiston would have been an improvement.
Guderian 15-01-2006, 10:32 I for one cannot understand Ferguson.
He dropped Wes Brown, who had been playing out of his skin, to accomodate Evra.
How can you give Evra his debut in the derby game?
Its makes no sense. Ease him in vs Burton next week.
For my money I reckon Silvestre is the cause of all United defensive jitters though.

My thoughts exactly mate- the excuse from fergie if you've not heard- he wanted to play silvestre next to evra because they both speak french and he could help him out...
Oh geeh wiz Mr Ferguson!! That was a masterstroke wasnt it!
He cocked up bigstyle there and also
As a rule- DONT let new players play their first game in a derby match, you need players who have played in them before and know what they are like ie: Wes Brown
