View Full Version : Where can I learn Danish in Sheffield?

Hi im due to be moving to denmark next year for a few months and would like to learn some conversational danish!

does anyone know anywhere in sheffield or anyone i could learn it from? I would prefer classes as they will make me stick to them! thanks!

I suppose you could try a company like Learndirect, or see if there are evening classes at Sheffield college or either of the Unis? Have you searched on Google? Or UKPlus.co.uk only brings up UK results...

It isn't taught at Sheffield College, and probably never will be. I think you will find it almost impossible to get on a Danish course around here and almost as difficult to find a tutor. It's just not considered important enough.

Your best bet is to try and get a book (together with audio tape/CD/DVD/ Video on the language) and teach yourself . Also, you should be able to find plenty of information online and be able to make contacts.

Failing this, just speak to them in English - they'll understand you.

go to the penny black pub and ask any of the bar staff for kim,he goes in most weekends,he came over for euro 98 and he aint been home yet.........he's a very nice bloke and i'm sure he could help you out.

Have a look in Yellow Pages for Language schools. You may drop on one that has a Danish teacher.
