Have a great few days out - and taste some FANTASTIC BEER AT THE SUNFEST - The 4 day beer festival held at 471, Fulwood Road, Nether Green, Sheffield S10 3QA on 7th to the 10th of July 2011.

This will be the 5th festival listing over 100 beers / Ciders that they will have available for you all to try.

Over the weekend they will be having a Hog roast from whirlow farm and tombola / cakes and Sunday fun dog show 2pm start attended by Rain (Dog & Cat) Rescue. This sure is going to be a wonderful event.

The Rising Sun is a really great traditional pub where they are all dog friendly after taking their little yorky out of the City Council Dog pound - so please come along and support us all - Its going to be a great weekend.

Does anyone know what time the Hog Roast is? and is it Sat & Sun or just Sun.

I'd recommend this festival to any lovers of real ale.

We had a cracking day there yesterday and it was very reasonably priced to take part.

For £5 you got a glass tankard, £3 of beer tokens and a festival programme. The glass tankard is refundable at the end for £2 if people choose to give it back, although I kept mine as a memento.

Some really nice beers were available with our favourite being Foxfield Double Time.

I was feeling a bit delicate this morning having spent £18 on tokens, but it was well worth it for a very enjoyable day. The food was also reasonably priced.

Thanks to all the organisers and helpers, the staff were very efficient.

Thank you to everyone who came to the SUNFEST over the last 4 days, and to Rob and Julie for being the perfect hosts for welcoming Rain Rescue once again to their festival- wasn’t it absolutely fabulous?. So many wonderful people and of course, their brilliant dogs. Saturday evening was amazing - so many people dancing in the car park and to the children that came over to help me on our Rain Rescue stall - they were absolute stars - also dancing behind our stall and stealing the show.

A lovely weekend - Loads of beer flowing - with lovely people - Lovely dogs and a wonderful atmosphere and I cannot thank everyone enough for their contributions in buying the cakes, having a go on our tombola and taking part in our dogs show. The money raised helps so many cats and dogs - all who would have so different futures if it wasn’t for the generosity of all concerned - Thank you.
