burlesque sheffield is a group of 4 girls, who have a taste for entertainment, and burlesque, once just an idea now bringing it to the public for your entertainment and enjoyment.

After searching through many books and websites we have not found any one definition to burlesque, so this show is out contribution the the many definitions all in one show. There is no nudity so men ya can bring your other halves, she will have nothing to complain about.

the show is lots of singing dancing and entertainment in a beautiful venue with a unique but fitting atmosphere only at bar abbey.

This show is the one and only of its kind in Sheffield. So dont miss out.

and theres all my hard work battling against the stereotypes of burlesque as glorified stripping gone in one fell swoop. :roll:

oh, and a knock for equal rights too...so much for the empowering qualities of burlesque!

we never said it is the only burlesque/cabaret night but our show is one of a kind as the is no nudity in our show unlike the rest, as our show is actually BOSTON burlesque and maybe you should check your facts and get all the information before making making comments about a show that you know nothing about.

So are you saying that burlesque that includes nipple tassels or pasties is not classy? You're going to alienate the majority of the burlesque scene by making statements like that.

If you attended any of the local shows, you'd know that there is a mixture of acts, from fully clothed, to skimpier outfits, to gorilla costumes, to nipple tassels and merkins. So you're not the only act in the area that don't tassel.

I'm fully aware of what a "boston" version of a burlesque show is, thanks. What you're doing is a dance revue - good luck with it.

thankyou all so much for your comments just to let you know our show was a huge success with just over 100 people turning up and out of all the comment forms we only had 3 negative out of 90 so i would say that we have done pretty well despite all the negative attitudes aimed at us.

We will be seeing you all again soon at our next show (currenty being planned)
