Are you able to drink? Maybe you should consider drinking Nurishment type drinks until you feel better.

The more you worry about not eating, the more you wont want to.....

You might just have that stomach bug that's been doing it's rounds. Me and my other half had it after xmas and it's taken a week for it to get out of our system. Not eating and constantly feeling sick, sometimes stomach pain as well.

Then go with the nurishment drinks for now, they contain a lot of calories and vitamins, minerals etc.

Are you particularly worried/stressed at the moment?

Depression can stop you eating.Try Complan(a drink with vitamins & minerals in) from any chemist for a few days.Maybe that will settle things down, then just start on light soups & porridge.

Long time ago Spyro, I stopped eating for about three weeks - I had to get on to complan to keep me going.

I was very heavily stressed at the time.....

 Love  can seriously put you off your snap, too......
Quote from the film Gregorys Girl by Bill Forsythe:

Hi Spyro, stress is a major cause of loss of appetite but being unable to eat and losing weight is your body's way of telling you there is something wrong. It could be anything, you really should see a GP if you're not feeling any better in a couple of days.

Well, I'd be a lot more worried if you were eating normally and still losing weight.

This sounds like classic signs of stress. For me, mild stress: reach for the chocolate and alcohol. Serious worry and/or stress: stop eating. Simply can't face food. It's easier said than done, but try to work out what's stressing you and try to do something about it. Talk to someone about it. Sorry to sound trite, but it does help.

Keep drinking water and get some Complan or whatever the equivalent is that your pharmacist suggests.

If it lasts longer than a week or so, see your GP. Don't want you wasting away.

Yep. Sounds like stress is causing it.

The body produces chemicals to deal with certain situations, and funnily enough, nobody can feel hungry in a burning building, as the chemicals produced by the body to deal with the stress of self preservation prevent hunger.

It's not a problem if you have a bit of elbow room on the dial of your scales, and it doesn't go on for long.

The real problem starts if the stress isn't temporary. The body then does the whole thing in reverse, becoming addicted to the anti-hunger chemical, and provoking a downward spiral.

It helps to identify foods you can force down to prevent the hunger. Try milk or milkshake, plain pasta (perhaps with chopped canned tomatoes or just black pepper), cornflakes, yoghurt, or go-ahead biscuits.

I believe yoga can help you to relax and prevent the stomach knot that kicks it off too.

No! Don't!

It doesn't give the stomach anything to work on and exacerbates the situation

Ok..........
Lack of food = potential dehydration.
Water = rehydration.

By 'keep drinking water' I meant keep drinking water as you would usually, in order to prevent getting dehydrated. I'm not advocating knocking back gallons of the stuff in one sitting.
