hi,i keep on getting cut off from my server which is blueyonder dial up ..ive found this in my windows folder mach64...........eedata
any one know what it is or how i can find out what it is ? thanks
dunno why you keep getting disconnected but, provided eedata.ee is a file within the mach64 directory, then thats not a problem. its for your graphics card.
according to the blueyonder status page, s9 and s13 are having problems with broadband and digital tv. it -could- be related. if its only just started happening and you've done nothing (installing programs, fiddling with settings etc) which could have caused it, then i'd wait a bit and see if it corrects itself.
thank you,it seems to happen whenever i turn a page or jump from one thread to the next on here, ive not downloaded anything or touched any settings
thanx for the info onthe graphic card bye the way
another alternative is to try signing up for another free isp, such as wanadoo pay as you go. its always useful to have a backup connection anyway for the odd times your isp may go down. watch out tho cos some close your account if you dont use it frequently.

Do you have your e-mails downloaded to Outlook or Outlook Express. It could be that you have the box marked "Hang up after sending or receiving" (or something similar) checked.
In Outlook Express, click on Tools, Options, Connection Tab, and make sure the box is unticked. I'm not sure of the procedure on Outlook, but it is probably something similar.

Interestingly, a relative of mine has PlusNet ADSL, and was previously a Virgin DSL user - he has a relative@virgin.net address, and has to use their DU once in three months to keep his relative@virgin address active.
I don't even have a V92 (DU modem) in the back of my machine, as two PCI slots are taken up with the sound card, and the third WLAN card.
:)
P.S: To back-up Ann here - how to do it in OL 2000 Professional... (http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b157/kentboy/outlook.jpg)
