View Full Version : What do you have for breakfast?

Do you rush out of the house clutching a piece of toast as you go or do you get up a bit earlier for a 'proper' breakfast?

Perhaps you're a fag and cup of coffee person or need the full fry up to start the day.

Whats yours like?

Two Müller fruit corners(the berry ones...ooohh),
a fruit salad,
and a glass of milk of course!! :D

Being a student life is hectic and I'm always on the go.

:::waits to see if anyone notices the irony in that statement:::

My lunch doesn't tend to get anymore exciting than that either whilst at Uni, an innocent smoothie (for Winter is my current fave), a cheese and spring onion sandwich and a jam pastry.

I know everyone wanted to know that. :loopy:

Conclusion: Prepackaged stuff rules for lazy students.

Never really bother with breakfast, usually skip straight to lunch. I occasionally get a bacon sandwhich on the way to lectures, but not very often these days.

I like to have porridge (or Oatso simple) - in reality I get up half an hour before having to be at work and don't have anything then get really hungry and have half my lunch at 11 o'clock

Cant eat in the morning makes me feel sick. Earliest I can manage owt is about 11, so tend to just skip brekkie or have a glass of cow juice  never been a breakfast person, was clearly scarred as a child by the sheer amount of soggy cornflakes and lumpy porridge I had to consume

It's the last thing I do before while I'm waiting for the boss to pick me up and he's usually late so I have time to finish.

It tends to vary between cereal (Ricicles or Crunchy Nut Cornflakes) or toast with Tesco's extra value mixed fruit jam. Mmmmm!

Incidentally, has anyone tried having a bowl of half bran flakes and half crunchy nut? It's yummy! :D:D

Today it consisted of:

2 slices of toast
4 cups of coffee
3 Nutragrains
1 bacon, sausage n egg on french :)
1 bag of cookies
1 packet of chicken Sensation crisps
1 bottle of Lucozade Hyrdo Active (or whatever it's called)
1 bottle of Lucozade Sport

To be honest that's pretty light for me as well - basically I like food, sorry I love food. I also walk about a lot for a living so need some energy :D

Just a cup of tea at home - then when I get to work I have an apple and start swilling myself out with pints of water. At ten, one more apple and a cup of tea, plus a pear or something.

I rarely bother with breakfast..
A lot of the time I simply don't feel like it, and other times I'll have a cup of coffee and a biscuit or a yogurt, just to have something..

A mug of tea as soon as I get downstairs and the teas brewed. About an hour later I'll usually have some toast with real butter, hot toast, so the butter soaks in. This morning though I had a couple of crumpets:D

what about this one,

we go to a place where brekky is free, but only if you have continental.
if you ask for anything cooked, they ask for your room number.

we do stay awhile, eat, drink, and no-one questions us, and we don't offer
is this a sin?

I take a travel mug of tea and drink it in the car with a toasted bagel or a pop tart. No laws against eating in the car here. I usually get crumbs all over me though and once the mug fell over as I went round a corner too sharply and went all over the bloody place. I never eat at home, don't have time.

You can't beat a full english...bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, fried bread and plenty of toast and coffee. That's what I have if I stay in a hotel....

Normally at home I have either cornflakes or toast, unless I've got a meeting at work first thing, when we might send someone out to get a supply of McMuffins :)

Today I had coisants with jam. Yum :)

If I'm up early enough I call into Subway for a meatball, chilli and mayo sandwich. But normally I don't have anything. I don't usually wake up hungry.

Yeah, sure:

"I am so bad at breakfast, I get my kids fed; take my son to nusery and then sit down with a cuppa and some custard creams; and before you know it there are only two left in the pack - whoops, healthy breakfast, eh?
As for my daughter who is nearly two, she sits and pulls them apart, and hands me back the biscuit.
I don't do it, but where has she got it from? My sister does it, but I don't see her as she is in London; wonder if it is something in her genes"...?

Can you tell, wibbles, that I have too much time on my hands, as I have the time to "translate" whole posts?

As for me, cup of tea and a club biscuit. There is sometimes a variation of this - club biscuit and then the tea..!

However, sometimes I have Rice Snaps (Tesco).
