SatanInHeels 06-03-2004, 08:46 PM errrrmmm... have spent quite a few hours in there over the last week or so! it is a nice place, maybe a little pricey but we usually go in the dove and rainbow or the bankers draft where drinks are like a quid!! overall nice place tho! y? Bookey 06-03-2004, 09:08 PM Just wondering as i have been in there quite a bit of this week too  Many other places like that to go to? Good drink but not deafing music? Rich 07-03-2004, 12:24 PM Drinks are cheap in Bankers, but the service is crap.... A friend of mine's Brother used to manage the place, me and another friend went in one lunch time a while back for lunch, we ordered bar meals, was waiting more than HALF AN HOUR for our meals, as if this wasn't bad enough, I'd ordered Scampi and chips, no salad or peas, nothing green and the plate, and the thing arrived FULL of everything I had specifically told the waitress I didn't want! WTF?! Don't people LISTEN?! So I sent it back, being the fussy eater I am, I wasn't willing to accept it and just eat round the green stuff, anyway 20 minutes later the lunch comes back as it should've done nearly an hour ago, Scampi, chips, no salad, and a lemon on the side.. After lunch I ordered a Dairy Milk chocolate ice cream thingy, 20 minutes later waitress turns up with a bowl of VANILLA ice cream so I says "Er, 'scuse me , I ordered chocolate", to which she replied "oh er, we ain't got none", by this time I was severely ****** off with the service and nearly said "well why the **** did you take my order for chocolate ice cream then ya dozy bitch?" but I was in female company so I decided against swearing at the daft bint. Moral of the story is, don't go for meals in the Banker's Draft, the food sucks, and the service, WTF?! Even the wage slaves in Maccy D's offer better service than that. fnkysknky 07-03-2004, 02:08 PM Food has always been fine for me in there and to be honest if I order food in a pub I expect to be waiting around half an hour. Saying McD's service is better is just being silly ;) Rich 07-03-2004, 03:50 PM If they had brought the correct orders then waiting 30 minutes each wouldn't have been so bad, but to fowl up the order, TWICE I might add, is a bit much IMO. mr craig 07-03-2004, 04:40 PM Its ok i guess, but the other bars around that seem much better to me,probably explain why i dont go in there much. starchild 07-03-2004, 05:42 PM The pizza at BRB is lovely and 2 4 1 on Tues/Wed... Especially if you add Tabasco sauce...mmm...heaven  Reminder to all of you that prefer more dignified reading, they only seem to stock tabloid papers so for all of ye that prefer a good broadsheet or your local Star (like me) grab one at the Tesco opposite before trundling over...the chairs are really comfy so you might stay a while. Having said that- I've never checked out the place as a night time venue but I get the impression the drinks can get a bit pricey whilst the food is very reasonable. :) fnkysknky 08-03-2004, 02:18 PM BRB's is a good laugh at night, mate used to work there so been in a few times - in fact thinking about it I spend a night playing drinking games in there around Xmas. I've eaten out on the back terrace there on a weeknight as well - the pizza was nice but being a little drunk at the time think I ended up wearing most of it :D You are viewing an archive.
