How do you mean 'good'? Is it fuzzy?

TV tuners in computers have a lot more factors than a standard TV. The things you need to be looking at are:

Good external aerial
Latest video card drivers
Latest TV card drivers
Memory and CPU issues
Better TV tuning software

Download a trial of Showshifter and see if things improve.

depends on the tuner card, and GFX card,

some tuner cards have a config option (maybe a seperate program) mines called "Primary" and i can set the 'draw' mode to overlay, DIB, RGB, etc, and various other options, some are better than others, some are better quality but slower, some are smoother but slightly less quality.

my GFX card also has a thing called theatre mode, where if im watching on 2 monitors (it does work with one, just not tried it) it can take the small window picture, and auto-clone/size it to full screen, whilst it passes it through filters to clean up the image..

If you are talking about a bad picture, all I did was buy a £30 freeView box, plug that in, with a £5 desktop Arial from Argos and works fine, crystal clear picture, full sound :) no problems.

Yeah, streaming just doesn't work on 56k, well it works but it's not worth bothering as the picture quality would be rubbish, it's usually perfect on broadband though depending on how good the stream has been encoded.
