Went to Morrisons in Ecclesfied at 4:15 and couldn't believe it was shut:loopy:

We've had to put up with stupid closing times for over a week now....roll on tomorrow when life can get back to normal.

Went to Tesco just now on Langset Road for essentials - wine - onion bhajis- and it was packed, as it was earlier when I passed at 2ish.
Heard the staff commenting that they had run out of Champagne but all other essentials were OK :)

EMERGENCY ??
Hahaha, are you for real ?

Perhaps the topic could have been called..

'Supermarkets open on Bank Holiday Monday' ??

Scaremongering fool.
I recon by 2010 we will be carrying small canisters of petrol and at least a weeks supply of food around with us at any time.

Pity Morrisons at Meadowhead (or anywhere else, as they were all shut) didn't have a sign at the entrance/traffic lights saying they weren't open. Especially when the petrol station was

That said, all shops should be shut. Anyone would think the world was coming to an end just because they've shut for one or two (if the staff are lucky) days.
