I bought some Tabla drums in Goa and would like to be able to play them better. Anyone play or know of anywhere where I can learn locally?

Ta archaeobard 16-01-2009, 13:46 I used to have some once, but I am no good at drums, all I remember is dum and tak depending on where you hit the skin. Dum being the middle and tak being the edge, not sure if right terminology, LOL...I did manage a few interesting impromptu pieces but nothing to write home about. Here is a useful website: How to play the tabla (http://www.chandrakantha.com/tablasite/bsicbols.htm) neeeeeeeeeek 16-01-2009, 13:46 I never got round to it. Still have the Tabla tho! neeeeeeeeeek 16-01-2009, 13:47 Cheers for the link, I shall investigate! |
