View Full Version : Worst buffet ever, Maso, embarasing being there!
We wentbto the Maso restaurant for their Italian buffet, thinking an Italian Jumbo.
What we got! PACKET RICE, 5 BEAN SALAD FROM SAINSBURYS, CHICKEN LEGS OVERCOOKED IN SOME KIND OF SAUCE WITH SOGGY CARROTS & THE WORST PASTA EVER, CONCHIGLE IN THE WORST TOMATO SAUCE!
Now, i like cooking i & the worst i can do for myself is better than this crap!
The chef also likes to hold his baby & show evereyone, table to table! Maybe he should ccoook that over a spit!.
The worst place ever, staff spilled drinks & it all was a joke!
Don't go there ever!, culinary hell!
Rom
I went for a meal there around a month ago and it was lovely!
The staff were really nice (especially Andreas mmm ;) ) The food was gorgeous! and I had the best desert, an actual lemon filled with lemon sorbet!
Maybe you just went on a bad day?

Oh yes, and the chefs baby was actually quite poorly and very beautiful and he was proud of her.

You only enjoyed it because you was leaching on the staff...And I thought you was innocent ;)
There was no selection, it wasn't a buffet, you had 1 pasta dish, 1 rice dish, 1 chicken dish & 1 hiddeous aubergine dish & they wanted 13 quid for what we had to force down ourselves!
It wasn't worth 13 pence!
I expected many anti pasti, lasagne, rissotto's salami's at least a cheese pasta dish, creamy!
The guy was more interested in showing off his baby, & he was holding it & running around & the head was bouncing all over the place!
Sh*t hole, never go there!
In all fairness Romario, you pretty much moan about every place you eat. You are a Chef correct ? then cook yourself :P
Crayfish 01-01-2006, 01:35 I went once at lunch time - the food sounds pretty much like described except that it was actually quite nice, but at £5.50 for all you can eat I thought it was a good deal. I also met andreas (think that's what he was called), nice fellow, gave me a cd of his old melodic metal band from italy.

Sorry :D
Dear_Ladies 01-01-2006, 15:26 I don't know about the buffet, but the a la carte was very good when we went. Unusual too - I think they're Sardinian.
