Anyone know anything about these things? Her indoors has a 5 or 6 year old Sony camcorder on it's last legs and we want to get a new Mini DV one to replace it.
BUT... the one we tried was rubbish in a low-lit living room, nowhere near as good as the ancient brick.
Any suggestions for a dinky new model that would be good for low light around the house type stuff?
Cheers

januray sales are probably the best time unless they are snatched up, or off a UK site, depending on how much you want to spend..
Dixons online are doing Camcorders for cheap..ish, i dont no much on it, but is Samsung a good make??
Sorry i dont no hyperlink buttons, this one says 'low light capibility' theres loads on the camcorder section.

We bought a JVC GR D290 last year after reading loads of reviews - it's an extremely well featured camera including a Digital Colour Nightscope and and an automatic light - the light switches itself off in bright conditions and it's LED so is low on battery drain. The Nightscope uses a slow shutter speed and some signal processing to get good pictures in low light.
Do a google for it :)
Thanks, have bought a Sony HC today from Meadowhell, so let's hope it does the trick!
Cheers
