A few weeks ago my dog (a Cavalier King Charles aged 7 years) started having fits. We took him to the 24 vets and they said he had epilepsy. It started with a few on the first night then died down to about 1 per day. Anyway, now they have increased again and he's having about 4 per day. He also has a heart murmour and for the last week he has been taking some tablets called 'Baytril' for an infection (I think, i only know this because my mom took him and i don't really know the full story what the vets said to her). The last few days on these tablets he has been really wobbly when walking like he is disorientated, he can't walk up and down stairs without falling and when stood still we sways from side to side.
It doesn't look good i know but can someone please tell me if he will be ok, is there a cure for him or will he be like this for as long as he lives? Please give me honest opinions and i'm not after free vet advice just would like to know for sure. Thanks a lot in advance.

I wouldn't worry too much. I had a Rough Collie who developed epilepsy around the age of 9. It took a few weeks for his condition to stabilise after being prescribed medication but he lived for a few years after that.
Baytril is an antibiotic, similar to penicillin. It shouldn't cause side effects similar to the symptoms you describe.
I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Only your own vet can give you advice that will be accurate and really helpful to you, because he or she is the only person to have thoroughly assessed your dog.
I really hope he gets better :( .
[EDIT: Just re-read your post. You didn't mention what dose of Baytril he's on. A high dose MIGHT cause dizzyness and vision problems. Speak to your vet. It may be the dose needs altering. Speak to your vet anyway. Even if the swaying isn't caused by the Baytril, it's a new symptom and needs another look].
