sad lonley people now have a life, since i joined the forum nearly 3 years ago ive noticed that loads of people seem to have made new friends on the forum myself included, even though i do have a large circle of friends, there's nothing wrong with making new mates.

without the forum i would never have had the pleasure of getting totally rat arsed with my good buddy robbie_loving or travelled up to caterick barracks with pete to entertain the cream of the british forces, then of course there was the day i travelled back into the dark ages to have a drinking session with viking in his local accompanied by owdlad and mr kiddick(it reminded me of that classic film the wickerman).

also springs to mind is steevie d who has single handedly kept the wheels rolling on the kirky disco machine with some awsome choonage and mixes supplied free of charge:thumbsup:

then ofcourse the dev cat meets, met a few nice people and a few strange people come to think of it but can honestly say not anyone ive disliked but i don't think the feelings mutual with certain posters but never mind.

I have also recieved loads of help and tips when things have gone wrong with mi pc so thanks to everyone who helped out the forums pc thicko:thumbsup:

I think ive added about 30 new customers to my window cleaning buisness also who have in turn passed me onto their neighbours so the forum has also improved buisness aswell.

so can i say happy new year to all my new friends and new customers:thumbsup:

Awww....kirky....I'm disappointed.

I expected the first line of the post to be 'jobsworths have been kept in gainful employment' :)

Seriously - nice post and very true!

Happy New Year to you!

Before I signed up on here I didn't go out socially a lot, but since I've started going to SF meets I'm hardly ever in.

And yes I know I only go to the Dev Cat meets and not Fuel etc, and no I don't wish to get into a discussion about why I don't go to Fuel/Sola et al.

Its the opposite for me Kirkster. I find that I now dont go out as much as I used to. I have plenty of friends not from the forum, but lately ive been known to turn down offers to go out with my frinds because I 'cant be bothered'.

I will be attending more meets though. There are some sound people on here.

I think we know your comments about Fuel, you seem to bring it up all the time.

Yes I have been on here since 2004, I have met some wonderful people, even go out drinking with them, been to loads of meets, and met some interesting people from all walks of life.

Also its full of useful info, and had help with my pc, but we do get the odd ****ty threads, but I just dont read them.

Since joining this forum iv met loads of new people and even started speaking to one or two from school.

Before I came on this forum Id only been down town drinking once, which I didnt enjoy at all and didnt really have that many friends. *sob sob*

When I first joined the forum in February.. (i think) I didnt speak to many people, just posted now and again. I then started going in the chatroom and started talking to various people.

One of my closest friends is seanyboy. At first we didnt speak alot, just now and again on MSN. Then in August (i think it was) my parents went away for a week, so I thought id show my face at a Dev Cat meet. I was talking to Sean about it on MSN and, as we both live near eachother, I asked if he would like to meet up and brave our first meet together. Since then we have become really close friends and I feel i can talk to him about anything- and I hope he feels the same.

At the first meet i went to I met Katy1981, another one of my close friends. Me and Katy are known for getting a little bit sozzled at every meet we go to. Another one I feel i can talk to and she knows she can talk to me about anything.

Over the months iv made great mates on here who I meet up with regularly.

Not only have I made some cool offline friends on here, but iv made same great online ones too, who I havent met but speak to on here and msn alot.

Im really glad I decided to go to the meet in August because since then my life has just been so different since before i came on the forum. Iv met some really nice people and cannot tell you how much my life has changed.

I want to thank all my mates on here for changing my life completely. Showing me how to go out at the weekends and enjoy life. If i hadnt joined the forum id probably have never gone down town and enjoyed myself half as much as I have with you guys. I love ya all! :D

Well said kirky!

SF is a truly wonderful place.

Since I joined the forum, I've met loads of lovely people at various forum meets - too many to name, and I've enjoyed the tours organised by Robbie-Lovin.

My thanks to vidster, Strix, Kristian and others for teaching me new p.c. skills!

I've made a really special forum friend through the limericks thread - even though Hazel and I have never met. (Good luck with the forthcoming house move Hazel  )

My son, who lives in Worcestershire, has also joined SF, and the forum keeps us in regular touch with each other.

Although we've never met, nobikejohn and I are going with bigkev to Ladybower for a photoshoot trip at 07.00 on New Years Day morning.

I've enjoyed teaching mah jong to forummers - and yes BoroughGal, I will soon be announcing the re-start of these sessions (so you can trounce me again!).

Oh, and nobikejohn and I will definitely get round to organising the forum stargazing meet - sorry for the delay folks.

So my thanks too to SF for all the laughs, the serious debates, making new friends, sharing interests, and bringing people together.

And kirky..... we'll forgive you for being soppy this once.

Happy New Year to everyone on SF. :partyhat:

Loggin on to the forum when I am on my own is like having company, but it doesnt matter if I feel quiet and not chatty cos everyone else is doing it for me.

You are all great...............................

I've spent many hours on here, i take the occasional break to have some kind of a life. I've been to plenty of meets...most of them 'back in the day'. I've chatted to a lot of people off here both in person, via pm or on messenger and have met some very nice people (ok and some nutters but you get that in any walk of life).

I've tried to cheer up people I don't even know when there posts hit a spot in my heart. I like my random PM's to people just to chat about nothing! I have met people I would like to see more and I hope to most people I appear like the geniune person I am.

There is a big list of people I could mention and there are others i've only know for a few weeks...but you always forget people so i'll just say:

Sian:: She soooo want's to adopt me!
Tracie: High and mighty now with her mod-like status, but still can make me smile so easily. Genuine person and a ray of light!
Sugarnspice: Lies to me with such conviction about me being a 'catch' haha. If theres anyone who can make any room worth being in...it's her.
DJ: Honest guy...and that's all I need to say, it's an important thing to me and ok...he can be amusing when the mood takes him.
FilthFan: Needs a kick up the backside to realise she is v.mature for her age and special.... i forsee a heartbreaker in the next few years.
Edd: Former list taker of meets.... been a while!, I like gettin the suprised look off him when I say something deeply disturbing.
Kirsty_87 Had a joint b'day night with her and it was one of the few times in my life i've enjoyed going out. The constant effort of getting up the stairs in the casbah will stick in my memory for some time!.
Boroughgal Says what she thinks, gotta respect her for that, whenever I see her I seem to be a lot more shy coz she looks at me with this look that just says 'I'm going to do something to make you blush'

I have very few serious parts of my brain, If in the face of sadness you can bring a laugh or smile to someones face I think this is the best gift.... and I hope I have done this to more than a few on here.

 yours sincerely
THEO!!!!!!!!
