Once again the Firth Park community festival is set to return to Firth Park, this year on Sunday the 26th of June between 1.00 and 6.00pm.
The volunteer team have worked long and hard to raise funds and to bring together a great mixture of entertainment, activities, refreshments, information stalls & community services.
On the day up to 50 stalls with local groups will be represented, tombola's, bargain bric-a-brac, home baking, books new and second hand and more will be on the park along with a large marquee from the SOAR board who will bring together a lot of their healthy living partners to share information with those who attend.
For the fun seekers, a selection of fairground rides for young people of all ages will be presented and in the central entertainment arena, south Yorkshire police dogs will (subject to availability) be providing a live demonstration of their skills, Dinnington colliery training band (as seen on TV last year) will provide music, Dance masters dance school, the Sheffield martial arts academy, and Romano Jilo will also provide great displays and entertainment.
Sporting thrill seekers who attend will be rewarded as Activity Sheffield, offer the climbing wall, giant inflatable football pitch and other multi sports games, and SWFC will be attending to offer and possibly receive some football skills.
Refreshments will be available on the day, on the park, jacket potatoes, sausages, Burgers, Chips, candy floss, hot and cold drinks, somasos, pakoras and much more, Henry's cafe in the sure start building will also be open.
Visits from the Lord Mayor of Sheffield and the Rt Hon.. David Blunkett will make it a great FREE day out, a visit from you will make all the hard work planning it, worth while.
