I never thought I'd hear myself saying this...................
err err err I agree with you Spyro!:gag: :gag:
Now can anyone give me directions to a place called Barnsley I think that I might have to go there sometime next year? I believe the people there still stand in the street look up at the sky and point at aeroplanes, is this correct? :( :(
LordChaverly 31-12-2005, 10:51 I watched the Liverpool-Everton derby on Sky the other night and remain mystified as to why a team which was doing so well last year is performing so badly now (with the same manager and many of the same players).

LC I've been wondering the same every week since the start of the season. The lack of goals is no surprise because I know last season we scraped a lot of 1-0 results and it was obvious that we needed more firepower.
The big surprise has been the defence which is frankly dire at the moment. Weir and Yobo just seem to be clueless currently and the midfield has become weak and unimaginative since Gravesen's departure. We are meant to be signing a Greek midfielder over the next few days called Basinas but in all honesty at a price of 400k, his quality is suspect and it worries me that once again we are buying at Nettos when everyone else goes to Tescos!
So it looks as though I may be in Barnsley next year....:gag: :gag:
spyro2000 31-12-2005, 11:08 Daverity. serious question now.
Where do you realistically see Everton finishing?
LordChaverly 31-12-2005, 11:12 Look on the bright side d., you may also be coming to Hillsborough (sure to win there) and possibly even to Bramall Lane (you would probably win there too).
I think the loss of Graveson was a major one (probably more important to team cohesion than Rooney ever was).
More worrying now perhaps is the behaviour and visage of Moyes. He is beginning to look like a manic depressive who is having difficulty in inspiring himself, let alone the team. It is ironic that only last year he was being touted as a possible successor to Ferguson at MU. How fickle are the fates in relation to the reputations of football managers.

Spyro in all honesty mate after the Villa performance, in the bottom three yes definitely. I can only hope Moysey can bring in some decent signings during the January window to shore things up but knowing Billy Liar (Kenwright) he'll want to spend about 30 bob, offer a crap contract and half decent players won't want to come. We could have signed Roy Keane, very easily because he didn't particularly want to move house, kids schools and all that but again by all accounts Kenwright ballsed that up as well.
The Liverpool defeat on Wednesday, albeit I didn't like it, didn't worry me as much as the defeat against your lot-that was very worrying in the manner we played and with all due respect letting 4 in against what is a dubious attack force.
No I'm not confident but we have become great escape artists over the past decade, so who knows. Three points against Sunderland today would be a start but again I'll be honest I can only see a point coming there :gag:

Yes you're right LC he's looking like a man under pressure but in all honesty I still think he's should stay. Billy Liar is the biggest problem there, the guy lives in a parallel universe I'm afraid and until he goes I can't see any half decent manager wanting to come to Goodison.
I've tried to email Roman Abromovich several times to see if one of his brothers wants to come and take over, I've even offered an all expenses paid city centre p**sup, a full days racing at Haydock Park and the services of one of my sisters but strangely enough I'm yet to receive a response? Maybe he's gay and I should offer one of my brothers instead

a lucky win we didnt deserve today! i dont understand how we can perform against the very top sides and not against anybody else.
come back carsley is all i can say :(
Would all the early posters who had Newcastle in the top 10 like to make another forecast now that it looks like Owen will be out for 3 months?
