View Full Version : IPod Nano...uncomfortable earpieces... help
shoeshine 28-12-2005, 11:18 Does anyone have this problem and please....how have you solved it?
My wife had an iPod Nano prezzy for Christmas, but the earpieces are uncomfortable after 15 minutes or so.
Are foam covers available anywhere?
Did the Nano come with the Package? ..if so I may have inadvertently thrown them out.
:help:
get some inner ear ones, currys have them for £20 in the sale. They have a soft rubber piece that actually goes about 1/2 cm into your ear, the sound is much better and I think probably more comfortable. I've never found any in ear phones that aren't uncomfortable after a while.
Richnliz 28-12-2005, 11:27 havent got any spare ones here shoeshine. otherwise u would be welcome to them ;)
shoeshine 28-12-2005, 11:39 Thanks Cyclone and richnliz.
More worried that I may have thrown the covers away if it came with them...still got time to retrieve them from the bin if they were hidden in the packaging:)
shoeshine 28-12-2005, 11:48 Makes a change though, missus getting ear ache from a source other than me;)
Crayfish 28-12-2005, 11:51 You can buy replacement foam covers, I got a packet of 10 from ebay for about 4 pounds. They do help with the comfort, still not perfect though!

Yes there should have been some in the packaging, sealed inside a white plastic pod thing with a clear window.
shoeshine 28-12-2005, 13:43 Thanks for all your replies...problem solved.....my daughter got some new earphones from Poundstretcher...£1 and inc 2sets of cushions for same.
Fitted spare pair of cushions on Nano.....using the rest of the outfit for listening to music on the computer (Bee Gees at the mo :) )
PuressenceUK 28-12-2005, 15:28 Just bin them and get some padded quality overhead headphones. All 'in-the-ear' headhphones I have tried have been ****.
As the old saying goes, you can't polish a t**d.

Bin Collection tomorrow:mad: very cold outside too!
Apple do a slightly more up-market version of the earphones for £ 25.00 but reviews don't look to be great.
Why can't they include this version in the Nano Package price . albeit meaning a price increase, and drop the standard ones...all marketing I suppose.

May buy her one of these for the same price instead

FairyNormal 28-12-2005, 20:43 I can never find and in earphones that fit me. They all hurt and fall out. I think the holes in my ears are just too small. Inner ear ones are more convenient and less noticable than big over ear ones but it seems I have little choice
Any suggestions?
inner ear ones, instead of in ear ones.
this (http://earplugstore.com/inearfaq.htm) explains the difference.
