Does anyone know if the turkish baths on Glossop Road now called Spa 1877 (I think) are open to the public or for private bookings? Or are they just for residents?

Or are they just for residents? wendy 04-03-2004, 18:44 I don't know if they have opened yet but I work at the Church Army Training College next door (across the car park from the building) and when they started the conversion we were told that it would be open to the public. It does have a telephone number up on the outside I'll have a look tomorrow if you like I'd like to know myself anyway:) Sandra Spice 05-03-2004, 07:37 That would be absolutley brilliant if you could get me a phone no Wendy - thank you. I know the Chamber of Commerce are advertising a ladies forum meeting there so they must be taking advance bookings. I do hope it's open to us all it'd be great to see it restored. zxczxc 05-03-2004, 07:44 We've been invited to the launch, which is on the 12th March, and I think it's open for business straight after that. Contact No. for bookings is 0114 221 1877 www.spa1877.com Sandra Spice 06-03-2004, 10:48 Great thanx I have rung them & requested a brochure Jayne 15-03-2004, 11:07 Apparently these open today - has anyone seen any price lists or anything - I tried going to the website but there was nothing there. RichK 15-03-2004, 21:44 The website is up and running now... Baldyshef 15-03-2004, 22:11 Looks interesting.. They had bouncers outside the other day  babznyc 16-03-2004, 11:09 funny Rich saying the website was up and running - I just tried it and although the domain name has been reserved there didn't seem to be any 'site' as such. Jayne 16-03-2004, 12:38 That's what happened to me yesterday - but was able to get on it today from clicking the link on this thread. Is it the one's a .com and working and the other is a .co.uk and the domain name is reserved. RichK 16-03-2004, 21:21 You must have cached versions of the page on your hard disk, because I'm definitely seeing a working site and not a "reserved for..." page. I can't help because I can't remember how to force your browser to get the latest page (try Control and F5, maybe shift and F5 if you're using Internet Explorer). |
