Anyone got a link to what the hospital looked like then and what it looks like now it's been redeveloped???

Also, I don't think I'd fancy living in an ex mental hospital... you ever seen House on Haunted Hill

Although I imagine it'd be Jon's idea of a wet dream:P

Must be nice to spend such a ridiculous amount of money to live opposite Winn Gardens, very desirable!

I think i will stick to my ex council house with 3 bedrooms and loads more space and a loverly garden!

It Doesnt cost that much to have it smoothly plastered painted white and layed with pinewood strips!

Maybe i could take the bedroom wall out, replace it with a banister so i can look at the rest of the house. remeber though, guests can look in too!

127k for a bit of space in an mental hospital, its nearly as bad as Coca Colas bottled spring water...

You will be in trouble when T020 finds you! Everyone knows the des res's are all in Eccleshall

I am sure it is very nice up there where you are but we might have to argue about what constitutes the cream of Sheffield. I certainly wouldnt put footballers in that category.

Sorry mate, that area is crap. However much you develop middlewood site,it will not change your neighbourhood once you come out into the main road.
I am sorry if i have disappointed your wish to make something when the reality is very different.

Where? never heard of it.

But that really doesn't matter, home is where the heart is. Are you truly happy there? Do YOU think it is the best place in Sheffield?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then that is all that matters. To you, it's the best place in Sheffield.

I had a look around there the other week. I didnt think they were particularly well finished for the price (which i couldnt afford!) and the ceilings were too low.

I prefer my 2-bed place above a shop - compact and bijou :P

Id never list it as the most desirable address in sheffield - probably not even in the top ten ;) (sorry)

Still, the place looks great from the outside - hope you enjoy living there.

Is it haunted btw?

Nope thats not it...although that does look nice (and indeed, i think its listed so its not going to change much in the near future!)

Try here:

Like i said...looks great from the outside and in the communal areas, but otherwise its pretty average, and in the current financial climate - overpriced. (A triumph of marketing over quality).

We went up to look at this development...

And just like others say it looks great from the outside but is a complete letdown on the inside. Too much like a hotel... they've ripped the heart out of the building.

If you want trendy modern then West One or the old Wards brewery would be a better bet. Alternatively for renovated apartments done in a much better way then Cornish Place, Brooklyn Works or Victoria Quays.
