hey all, merry crimbo and all that.
I use the term "blackjack" loosley as im not sure of the exact name of the game, I play a game at work, where everyone is dealt 7 cards. the aim of the game is to drop all of your cards.

A card is turned over off the pile, and if its, say, a 3 of diamonds, the player after must place a diamond or another 3, on top of the turned over card.

The 2's make the following player pick up 2 cards from the deck, unless that player plays a 2, in which case the player following that player, must pick up 4.

the 8's make the following player miss a go.

the blackjack (club/spade) makes the player following pick up 7, unless that player plays another blackjack. (the following player, must pick up 14) or, the player plays a red jack, that nullifies the effect of the black jack.

I have included as much info as i think is necissary, but don't know the official name for this game, anyone else know?

and is there a game that can be downloaded from the internet?

We used to call it crazy eights and there are several sites offering free downloads. My partner and I don't play it as we both learnt different rules which always led to arguments. :(

Blackjack is usually the casino game where you have to get cards totalling 21 or as near as possible without going over 21. The object of the game is to get nearer to 21 than the dealer. An Ace and a face card(Jack, Queen or King) or a 10 is called a Blackjack. Any other cards that add up to 21 are not Blackjack.
