Does anyone remember the Pace hotel? At least I think that was what it was called. Where was it exactly in Sheffield? I used to go to my friends' parties which were held there when I was at infant school. :)

Do you mean the Peace Guesthouse, which used to be near the bottom of Brocco Bank by Endcliffe Park? I think it shut down a couple of years ago - or maybe the sign just fell down?!

To be honest, I think it was closer to the town centre and was a big hotel. I may have got the name slightly wrong.

Didn't it used to be on George Street, behind what was then Rackhams? It backed onto Mulberry Street.

Yes, the Pace hotel was on George St ,just off high St, about 30 yards down on the left. I think it closed as the Pace hotel sometime in the late 80's

It's called The Cutlers Hotel now, I think.

i remember going to my sisters second wedding reception there and it seemed really posh at the time, she was married in 1984or 5. it was at the back of the mullbery i think we walked down the side of what is now tj.hughes

Yes, we had our meal there after we got married back in 1987.
