theres already a thread on the go on this subject

maybe it was all the asylum seekers using up there super duper food vouchers courtesy of the british government........maybe the terrorists are denying us food so we starve and have a slow miserable death over christmas, or, or

Can you believe it,No potatoes at Tescos on Infirmary road, this morning. Got all my christmas shopping list ready, and as we wont be shopping now until next Tuesday, thought I would get plenty of potatoes in.(After all got to do roast potatoes& parsnips on Christmas day) Not a one to be seen anywhere ! The man said they were waiting for them to come in ?Not as though we were there early, this was about 11.a.m. What a let down for Christmas, and their losing money as well,as everyone was hunting high & low for them. Got to get some tommorrow now.!

Over the years I've found it funnier and funnier that you see people with trolleys literally full of bread, beer and that they would kill you for a bag of sprouts.

A few years ago, Xmas eve - Asda at Doncaster, man in front of me has a big trolley crammed full of cases of Stones best, with a frozen chicken all of two pounds perched on top. He's TOTALLY bladdered, sees me looking at him, and says

" Well, she did send ME to get Xmas dinner sorted ", I nearly wet myself with laughing.

Bet her face was a picture - wonder if they're still together??

Have you tried looking on e-Bay? ;)

just got back from Tesco's - the local one opened at 7am - I was the only non-staff member in there...

I went to Tesco yesterday on abbeydale road and it was fine. There was a jazz band playing in the entrance, it wasn't chaos and there wasn't a shortage of anything.

The staff said everyone had gone early in the morning to avoid the rush and then created it. I was there around 3pm.

I then went to waitrose at around 7pm (as they have really nice anchovies there) and it was like a ghost town.
