With all the new channels they are supplying (BBC3, BBC4, etc) and all the Digital music stations coupled with a huge website they run now- do you think that the quality of the programmes has been affected as they only have a limited budget to run all these from??

for example 10 years ago - non of these extra services existed but everyone in the country still had to pay for there TV licence- therefore more money could be spent on each service.

Same amount of money coming in + More services to run= less money on each service and poorer quality???

we wouldnt be able to afford if it doubled

wages havent doubled, wages have barely gone up
yet the tv license and council tax has shot up dramatically, in another 10 years we prolly wont be able to afford to pay em

Film is a lot cheaper. Plus many programmes were made that never made it to air by talent the beeb was nurturing. Now they stick them on one of these background channels where previously they would have had to start on radio but with digital film techniques and editing improvements it's no big deal to film them in studios that they already own and show it on the telly. :D but standards are slipping mainly because the audience has become stupider. Celebrity come dancing, i mean, i ask you!
