What instruments if any do people play, and what influences would you say you have???

Classic Rock

I play some acoustic guitar (bit rusty at the moment) and I'm influenced by Classic Rock.

I can play a plethora of instruments, including the guitar, flute, piano, recorder, keyboard, drums and kazoo. I don't play any of them particularly well, but I enjoy trying. I got to grade 6 on flute when I was at school, but only play it occasionally now. I also got grade 5 on piano but I've pretty much forgotten how to play anything and I'm crap at sight reading. My real musical forte (excuse the pun) is singing, I'm part of a church choir back at home.

I play the guitar mostly these days. I'm self taught and can't really play anything other than chords and simple riffs. I want to get an electric, but can't afford it at the mo. Me and a mate often talk about starting a band, but it never seems to get off the ground.

I wouldn't say I really have any influences, but I love strumming along to Oasis songs.

I been playing guitar for around 3 years now, influenced by most rock bands, but enjoy playing speed metal lately for the fact that if u can keep up with that you can pretty much play anything!!!

real influences are muse, nirvana, metallica, RHCP, Soundgarden and more, and teacing myself piano soon

Also been thinking about starting a band, but havent got round to it

I can play a mean steering wheel bongo, also got a harmonica in the car for those long journeys playing along to Bob Dylan songs.

Also had a dabble at piano/drums/guitar

I've played piano all my life, (grade 8 ), but only have keyboards now so pretty rusty as I don't practice anymore (and keyboards just aren't the same). Used to practice a lot when I had lessons as a child and you need to play a lot to keep up the standard. I can still sit down and play good pieces but get frustrated with myself when i can't manage difficult bits anymore and make a mistake!

Also play guitar, electric and acoustic. I have 4. I enjoy playing about with effects, particularly delays, so I play quite melow chilled stuff these days. Started off playing rock though and every now and again it's good to play a few power chords!

Got a bongo, harmonica and tamborine!

I have to admit since I started writing music on my pc, I've become very lazy at playing real instruments. I use my keyboard for midi and play one handed most the time and build it up!

Influences- piano, all classical artists really, plus blues and jazz, love tori amos and coldplay for the piano's they use.
Guitar, well this started as all grunge, rock, heavy metal etc. But these days more acoustic mellow influences and bands like ozric tentacles, eat static etc.

I play guitar, piano and i can slightly play bass and drums in some form or other. I'm not fantastic, i just enjoy it a lot so i put the work in, and you can't ask for more than that. :)

Chris.

Djembes as it happens, bongos are more finger oriented i think.

Djembe is a big ass african drum shaped like a wine goblet.

I get together with some like minded individuals and a very good teacher who does it for free, once a week, and make a very loud noise.

2 years ago I would have described myself as rhythm-less. Now I can keep a beat going and deafen small animals at the same time!

i'm getting in to whistling. Does anyone teach it?

Like singing - an instrument that is always with you.

Wish I could sing too, although I can usually find the sympathetic vibration frequency of any room by humming (not to mention making entire banks of tvs go all wavy)
