I've just gone to top up my pay as u go mobile as I only had 9p credit left and it said my text allowance was 30.

What exactly does this mean, have they given me 30 free texts?

If so anyone got anymore details on how long they last?

Thanks speedway dan. I got a message from them yesterday as well but I instantly deleted it, thought it was just the usual rubbish.

Nice of them though

I'm on T-Mobile PAYG and got £10 free credit this month cos I used more than £10 last month (due to their extortionate call rates I think it's impossible to use less than £10 a WEEK, never mind in a month!)

Ahh how quickly that free credit disappeared! :)

I started on T-Mobile with a a contract phone in late July 2004.

Finished the contract with them in August 2005....all monies owing on contract settled up at that time.

This Tuesday I had a call from their call centre (India?) telling me that my contract was shortly about to finish:confused: After explaining that the contract was long finished they terminated the call, thanking me for the info.

3 hours later they phoned me with exactly the same introduction and again I explained the contract was over ages ago.

Not had a call from them since:)

I work for T-Mobile, this is the info:

From 16th December 2005 to 23rd December 2005 we will be giving approximately 1.5 million contributing Pay as you go customers a Christmas Surprise.

This will be a free 30 text bundle to use within a month of receipt.

This is all well and good, but the look on my boyf's face last night when he checked his credit and it said:

'You have 72 pence credit...your text allowance is 888 free text messages'

We tested this out and he indeed had some free texts...he just doesn't know how they appeared?!?!

Any clues slinky??

I have no idea! We're not running any promotions at the minute that give that (huge!) amount of free texts away. The last time we did anything similar was back in June, and that was only valid for 90 days so it can't be that.
