Hi All

I am relocating to Sheffield in July to work at the Cadbury Trebor Bassett factory in S6. I have never been to Sheffield before in my life so am really in need of some advice from locals!!

I am looking to buy a flat/house relatively near the factory or close commuting distance but being only 21 my budget is fairly limited to say the least! I don't mind living in an area that is a bit downtrodden (I currently reside in the Birmingham "ghetto" so there isn't really anywhere to go but up?) but again not knowing the area I have no idea where to look.

Grateful for any info.....on anything Sheffield related!

I'd look for somewhere in Hillsborough...

Close to your work, and it's not a bad area that's not as overly priced as some parts of the city.

Just my 2p worth...

Yes i,d agree, Hillsbrough is an ideal location for your work and has a decent shopping area and plenty of public transport.

Hillsborough is good, yeah.

Though if you're looking to buy, the cheaper option would be a flat, terraced houses will cost £80 - 100,000. The one's at Bradfield court are in a good location for the factory and tram stop and I think they go for about £60-odd thousand.

I've lived in Hillsborough for a few years and I love it.

And Hillsborough is also home to the best Football team in Yorkshire!!!!!!!!

Good pubs, good shops, leisure complex, good food, not a bad area really.
