Bushbaby 12-01-2006, 02:48 PM It was just up from Gerge Barlows, on London Rd near the bottom of Keetons Hill. It did some second hand stuff and some imports. I bought a few singles from there, which I still have. "Suite:Judy Blue Eyes" by CSN, "Land of 1000 Dances" by Keem-O-Sabe and "Billy Porter" by Mick Ronson. I think it was just a young guy who set up on his own. He was always good to chat to. He ordered me the first two Bruce Springsteen albums, in 1974, and I think he also did a good line in Bootlegs, but he kept these under the counter. I've racked my brains for the shop's name, but once you get past fifty..... mikeh 12-01-2006, 11:42 PM Maybe i'm a bit late with this but didn,t Violet MAYS own two shops ,one on the hill by the GAS Board mechanic garage(i worked there for a spell) and the other was up london road.;) You are viewing an archive.
