I COOK MY OWN SPICY NOODLES SO I STOP AT HOME, SO I DON'T OVER EAT ON ANYTHING SPICY. IT BRINGS ME OUT IN A RASH

Just in time for turkey curry on boxing day then! The menu looks good and reads well...all fresh, cooked to order etc. Here's hoping!

Excellent - we seem to be a bit short of curry houses around this side of town. Where exactly is it? Do they deliver?

We are SO short of curry houses round here, which I find amazing for Sheffield! Far too many chinese and not enough indian takeaways, so let's hope this one is good! It is on Middlewood Road, just before you get to the park between Carlton Rd and Wadsley Lane. Free delivery if over £10 so the flyer says.

thats right, we passed earlier big "sign" on A4 paper saying opening 19th, still not open, but am almost sure the people doing it up inside were chinese? I remember saying to Bladesgirl, " Christ, not another chinese!!"
Could be w(r)ong!! :D

There's a decent indian place (if anyone has a car and can collect the number for all those who would like to know - I've moved from that side of town and can't remember it - thought the phone had it on speed-dial :D ) at Walkley

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=433000.671216583&Y=389000.795801818&width=500&height=300&gride=433295.671216583&gridn=388921.795801818&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=GB&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&keepicon=true&zm=0&scale=10000&down.x=257&down.y=324

IIRC it's near the Post office but as you come along from Netto's and the X road towards town it's on your left on a corner facing you.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone used the himalaya take away near to deerlands avenue, or does anyone have a favourite in the area who deliver (no do liver just to chicken and lamb)

By the must say HNY to all forum residents.

we had an excellent meal from the new indian on middlewood last night. Everything was cooked fresh so had to wait a while but it was well worth it. Good sized portions and not bad value. Slightly more expensive than other takeaways but worth it as everything so fresh. 10 out of 10!

Had a Lamb Balti and rice from there last night. Very tasty until I found a 3" piece of white plastic (that looked like the back end of a plastic fork) in my curry.

Shan't be using them again.

Had a great meal from here tonight - pilau rice wasn't day-glo coloured, tikka was just spicy enough, wasn't oily or greasy - generally excellent!

Web site has pdf of menu - http://www.spice-hut.com/

They've even got a plasma tv and are getting Sky, so the wait for the curry will feel swifter.

Go and enjoy!
