We stopped at the Grand Canyon, at old Western ghost towns, at Disneyland and in Hollywood. The best part, though, was the journey to and from. I remember having picnic lunches in the desert in the (minimal) shade of giant saguaro cacti. pedro1 19-12-2005, 13:51 My best holiday was this year with my new wife. We went all inclusive to maspalomas, gran canaria. All you could eat and drink for 2 weeks, great weather and a naturist beach. Bliss. We`re off to egypt next year but plan to go back in 2007 *Twinkle* 19-12-2005, 13:59 Mine was to Costa Dorada when I was 14 :D Dunno why... Just loved it and have fond memories! I'm off somewhere hot with uni mates in the summer, so hopefully this will be a landmark holiday! Hecate 19-12-2005, 14:03 Several years ago. Visited Cape Cod, the White Mountains region of New Hampshire and southern Maine. It was in the early Autumn, so just in time for the glorious leaf colours. Wonderful. I met her a few months ago and one of the things we talked about was that holiday! Think too that the wierd mists that crept in on us at the bottom of Mount Snowdon were somethign I couldn't forget GoGo_dancer 20-12-2005, 09:16 Has to be our honeymoon to Ireland in September this year. We spent 5 days in Killarney, County Kerry, in a beautiful lake side 4 star hotel with 4 poster bed and jacuzzi bath. There were views of the highest mountain range in Ireland from our bedroom window and deer roaming the lawns at breakfast time, then we drove to Cork City and spent 5 days in a B&B where we had our own little apartment, and the breakfast was out of this world! Cork city is a great place, great shopping and great atmosphere. Sigh..... seems so long ago now!
