We had our yearly Christmas Mates Do there yesterday and just wanted to say that they were excellent.

Now I have no idea what they are like in the evening as its not the type of place I'd choose to go on a Fri/Sat night, but they couldn't do enough for us yesterday.

We had a nice little space of our own from about 2.30 to 8, they were fine about kids being there, the buffet was excellent, good food (not a curled up sarnie in sight), there was loads of it and was really reasonable. They put up with our group making mass cocktails orders, eventhough the rest of the bar was open and they had others to serve.

We had a great time, and were really pleased seeing as we'd chosen the place without any previous experiences.

Really? By sheer contrast, it was our works party there yesterday, the food was distinctly average, service slow (although the staff we v.polite about it) and we didn't even get so much as a cracker (as promised). They also charged us for drinks we didn't order then failed to deduct the deposits we'd paid in advance! Funny that. :confused:
