View Full Version : The finals! The one to watch?!
There was a channel clash tonight as the finals for The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing were on at the same time.
So who watched what? Just wondering what the numbers were like!
CherryNicole 18-12-2005, 00:27 I watched neither, I would like an option for this :D

Erm, I watched spongebob square pants....have no idea if it was on at the same time as either of the options I was 'allowed' to watch :D
lol sorry CN ;)
I didn't think about that - it was just for those who watched either! If the moderators see this - please add 'other'
There may be no mega thread Spyro but the whole country is talking about SCD, there are several forums on the net just for SCD!
Believe me - it's had a big impact; my friend owns a dance school in Sheffield and the amount of people who have come for lessons since the dancing on TV started is amazing!

Lotti, I amended the poll for you. :)
I watched X Factor tonight; I never got into SCD really, although I do love my daft reality shows! :)
seanyboy 18-12-2005, 13:29 I'm not a fan of either but I watched X Factor last night, through default 'cos my sister loves it. The guy who won was pretty good, and so was the one who didnt.
Did I just admit to watching?
WallBuilder 18-12-2005, 17:54 Yet another saturday glued to the television with the phone switched on to answer machine. I was of course watching Strictly Come Dancing. I also voted for my favorite couple who went on to win.
I find Bruce slightly annoying but I take my hat off to the celebrity dancers as should anyone who has attempted to 'trip the light fantastic'
There aren't many programs that can cause your emotions to be as tense as this show and I wanted all three of the finalists to win.
Just as a slight side issue did anyone see Claudia's show on BBC 2 when they had a clip of 'Maradona' [sp] dancing? He was really bad and yet the judges gave him high marks, I suspect if he'd of performed in the UK show he'd of got 1's and 2's.
Also interesting to note that SCD has crossed the Atlantic and over there is called 'Dancing with the stars'.
I'm now waiting for the next series!!

watched both with the aid of Sky+ great nights viewing IMO
Wallbuilder! thanks for backing me up!
Yes - saw the show where the guy was dancing! Was so astonished!
Yes, I think Bruce should have been kicked after the first series but there you go - it must be just us as others seem to like him :loopy:
The celebrities this year were very good - especially the last three who were all fantastic! A close final! And I too wanted Darren and Lilia to win!
I was a little disappointed with Len throughout the series as he did those 'It Takes Two' programs and did a really bad example of a cucaracha (sp?) and the mambo! Fancy showing the nation that!
In general though, a great show!
WallBuilder 21-12-2005, 00:49 I was talking to some-one who has been rather critical about the entire idea of the show, however when I mentioned who Brendan is going to be dancing with in the Xmas special there was more than a glimmer of interest all of a sudden.
One of my dad's claims to fame is that he actually knows Len so I may have to see if I can wangle tickets for the next series assuming of course that Len is still head judge.
