Well there's Apple's own iTunes (http://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/overview/) - and you might want to check out the incredibly cheap but legally questionable www.allofmp3.com (http://www.allofmp3.com/).

Be aware that iPods won't play WMA files - which is what most of the download sites (Virgin, Tesco, HMV etc) offer.

You can easily convert them to MP3s though.

Just go on Google and type WMA to MP3 converter and click on one of the links you get.

If it's a brand new video ipod Father Christmas is nicely bringing you, then you could do worse to check out www.freeipodvideos.org which are perfectly fine and legal!

Also, if you check out this thread - http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=77916 - it tells you about software for putting DVDs (that you own!) onto your ipod.

Otherwise I recommend just buying the CDs - there's plenty of places where you can actually buy the CD for less than downloading it would cost from most legal download sites, and then you always have it to hand in case anything goes wrong and you lose all your music files!
