Does anyone have advice on how to extract my own teeth, aneasthetic, tools needed etc. I refuse to pay the dentists extortionate prices. I'd like to do this over this weekend, if anybody has any tips.

I recommend 14 pints of Stella, a visit to the Casbah, and by the end of the night I reckon there'll be someone willing to knock a couple of gnashers out..if they've not already done so.

1) Tie a piece of good quality string to tooth in question.
2) Tie other end of the string to a door handle.
3) Slam the door shut.
4) Scream "Ouuuuuuuuuucccccccch!!!!!"
5) Dial 999.
6) Press "2" (touch tone phone required)

Job done.

Putting it like that,,,well pull away my man I would suggest a quick limb amputation as well.

I successfully removed all my toe nails last summer without the risk any infection. Quite an easy procedure with the right aneasthetic and was back to work within three months. I've booked a week off work just in case there is any pain associated with dental extraction. I don't necessarily need to extract the lot in one go, I could maybe do half on Saturday and the other half on Sunday afternoon.

you could try the slow method of eating nothing but pineapple, holding great chunks of it in your mouth until it gradually digests your gums and all your teeth fall out of their own accord.

otherwise cocaine is a very effective local anaesthetic (applied topically, not insufflated). If it is just one tooth, get a pair of needlenose pliers, and wrap the tips in insulating tape, rub plenty of cocaine around the affected area until it feels completely numb, and then grip the tooth with the pliers and waggle it out over a period of time.

Tell me it's a molar...

No, an impacted wisdom tooth, two of them in fact either side

hmm, id probably consider using a chisel, ang getting one person to hold you down whilst the other one bashes it out.

If you want a readily available general anaesthetic, you might want to try something like Ketamine, as it's relatively safe.

Ketamine is a horse tranquilliser! Mind you, with your suggested method of extraction - Johnh is probably going to need it! :hihi:

Also it used to be used as a general anaesthetic for babies. Parke-Davis mass-produced it (CI-581, Ketalar) as a safe general anesthetic, with rapid onset and recovery and a wide margin of safety, and it was extensively used in the Vietnam War.

I would also suggest swallowing your tongue first as you don't want to pull out the wrong thing once your mouth is numb.

OK now we've sorted that little problem out. Anyone fancy talking me through a kidney transplant?

Ask this (http://www.openwheelracing.com/toothless.jpg) man for advice. He has been there and done that.

If he takes Ket then someone else will be doing the work as he will be out cold.

I really really hope you are joking.

1. When wisdom teeth are pulled out an infection often follows even after professional extraction

2. To remove wisdom teeth they are usually cracked into several pieces first

3. It is also often necessary to break and remove part of the bone holding the tooth

4. Often stitches are required

Don't be so (insert appropriate swear word) stupid.

Anyone got any tips on home vasectomy?:heyhey:

A never fail method would be to grasp a jig saw in one hand and complete wedding tackle in the other and apply to each other. Definite vasectomy there but beware, it is not reversible! Oh, and you may need a bit of anaesthetic too! :hihi:

It makes a nice change for someone to actually know something about ketamine other than 'it's a horse tranquiliser' which people band about without really knowing what they're on about. No offence RedRobbo it just amuses me :)
