Anybody got any recommendations where/where not to go for food around Mosboro/`Beighton/Eckington areas?

yep - use the 'search' facility, and feed 'food' into it ;)

To be honest its a bit poor. I wouldnt touch The Fox at Beighton...your best bet might be The Ridgeway Arms but it's a long time since I went. Failing that The Swan at Ridgeway aint bad.

If the ridgeway arms is where I think it is, Iwouldn't bother :mad: It's one of those places that trades onit's reputation but doesn't live up to it

Try 'search' 'ridgeway' to check what other's think - I'm sure it's been mentioned in the past 6 months ;)

Have you tried the pheonix pub, they do realy nice food.:)

The phoenix food is great though more pricey than other local pubs. Its your best bet though!

I went to the phoenix last weekend for a family get together. The food served was rubbish. I had a lasagne that came and all the pasta was hard! My brother had the pheasant and the bird was so tiny, i thought it was a baby pheasant. Everyone else was happy with their meal but 2 out of 6 poor meals is a bad percentage i think!

If you want proper cooked food and not just rubbish heated up in the microwave try the George and Dragon at Mosborough.

You'll have to get there early though as it gets pretty full and isn't too big inside.
