SOme people can get away with wearing some thing while some people can't but in general...

NO, no, no, no, no!

There is very little (Apart from the mass produced and mass worn Henry Lloyd knock off T-shirts with collars up and that tossy looking chav way!) that looks worse in todays alledged "fashion" !

Just as an aside, girls those furry boots not only go with no item of clothing EVER produced but they are just plain stupid looking!

John Major appeared on TV a couple of Sundays ago in a serious political interview... pristine shirt and tie...dark, immaculate suit, black shoes and wearing PINK socks which were blowing the front off the TV Screen! I kid you not!!

His answers to the interviewer were drowned out by the laughter here......

Pink socks are apparently the "in" things to wear, if purchased from a particularly posh London Menswear Shop. All the top bozos go there.

So peeps if you want to be seen going up in the world...wear

PINK

I'll stick with dark blue socks £3 for 3 pairs from Matalan:)

I wouldn't be seen dead in pink either... Black however, now that's definitely my colour, one or two people over the years have told me I look good in black... I'm actually wearing black joggers now.

It all depends what pink and how much of it. Cerise Pink Suits are probably not a good idea, but pale salmon pink shirt are commonplace.

Baby pink is not good colour, even on babies.

Mmmmmmmm, yes. I saw a female shop assistant giving "gentle encouragement" to a bloke in a shop to buy a pink top he was trying on (at his g/f's insistence) cos it "suited him"! He was short, bald, fairly large and had some very distinctive facial tattoos so I wasn't going to point out that he couldn't "quite" pull it off. He did fork over about thirty quid that you could tell by the look on his face he was never going to wear...and rightly so.

Depends on the shade of PINK!

Some guys can get away with it as long it isnt too extreme. A pink shirt looks smart with a dark suit with the jacket worn. Some light pink jumpers are fine, but leave the bright pinks to us girls!!!!

I worked with a guy once who always seemed to be in pink... either shirts or ties... he looked good... he was in his late 20's i'd say...

I dont see any problems in Men wearing pink... its only a colour... girls wear Blue... so why not...

Ok... its always been associated as Pink for Girls Blue for boys... but.. Hello! we are talking the 00's here... people should move with the times...

Its all Stereotyping! If you wear you Pink 'MUST' be gay! whatever!

Some men bless em... sadly dont get a choice... when the Mrs puts a red sock/knickers in the washing machine when doing a white wash...

I know i'm guilty of it... and not just the once either... Hangs head in shame lol  lol

My dad has an extensive wardrobe of business wear in every colour under the sun, and carries off every colour (wih the possible exception of bright green), looking professional and chic. This includes pink in both shirts and ties.

He also has dozens of lovely jumpers including a lovely pale pink cashmere one that he looks great in (but many of them would look better on his younger daughter).

For the record, he's 61, 6'5", and built rather generously, with dark hair and skin.

I absolutely adore men in pink. Also purple. Even a lad who might not normally catch my eye becomes instantly more attractive to me in a pink shirt or sweater. I don't know what it is!
Sad thing is I bought my better half a pink shirt and he only wore it once or twice cos people kept asking him if he'd put a red sock in with the whites wash :o

Only if they're not trying to prove that they are straight because if a guy trys to prove that he is straight by wearing pink, it usually just makes us think there is an insecurity there for the simple reason that if they have to prove it, who are they trying to convince?

There is no reason why men should not wear pink if they so wish. However, the colour, in our 21st century culture, when sported by men is most definately associated with effeminacy and homosexuality. Interestingly, in the days of the be-wigged, perfumed, gentlemanly Dandies and Macaronis , pink was a fashionable colour for heterosexual young bucks.

Personally, I would not wear pink because I dislike the colour in general. I do not think that it suits the male, Anglo Saxon-Celtic skin tone, features or rugged build. It makes one appear insipid, weak and faintly ludicrous [especially the kind of baby pink favoured by Lord Ronnie Fearn, the unctious and garrulous Liberal Democrat]. It simply doesn't look right to me. Like a man in a blue suit with brown shoes, or a suit worn without a tie.

I am all for pink knickers for women, though. Very much so.

"Gay rights"? what about hetrosexual rights in this area? they don't exist.... "Can I wear a cream Shirt"?..... How silly is that?

Grow up and come out. Wear "pink" if it turns you on but you must know what it means these days to do so as the gay community have hijacked a colour meant for everyone simply because they are gay and the politicaly correct brigade will back you to the hilt.... not me. You looked for a response before you dressed in "pink".... so now you know what you already knew.... except you needed someone to say it.

The question should be "should people wear whatever they want"? To which the answer would be, yes, but be prepared for a reaction you may not feel comfortable with.

My pink polo shirt, when I wear it, always goes underneath something else so just the collar shows. I can't be bothered with all the snide comments otherwise, even if they're meant in jest. Society hasn't come as far as you'd think.

I see no problem with it. Pink Shirt with a grey suit looks kinda smart. As Jude Law put it in Alfie, "If you ooze masculinity like some of us do, you have no reason to fear pink."
