Now, for those of us who are normal local people who work for a living, where can we go clubbing mid week?

Some friends of mine had a night out in town with me on a Tuesday night. I had to go home at 11 due to work next morning, but a couple of my friends work shifts and had their day off falling mid week, so they decided to go to a club, and tried the venues they have been in the past.

Banus, the new Josephines, refused them because they didn't have NUS cards (well they wouldn't, not being students) and Leadmill refused them for the same reason.

They ended up in Spearmint Rhino!

So where should they have gone. They wanted somewhere with a good fun atmosphere, music either commercial dance or cheese (don't like hardcore dance, garage or heavy rock) and reasonable prices, and nice people.

I had the same problem in Edinburgh last week, every club on wednesday would only let you in if you were a student, WTF?

Didn't know the leadmill wouldn't let you in without NUS on tuesday.
