My favourite was Lick My Lovepump. What a great era that was.

Derek Smalls was particularly fine with his curvey pipe and his sinister facehair.

"Whatever i do" by Hazell Dean, or "You spin me round" by Dead or Alive - both classics of the genre.

Think you'll find the song in the background was Suddenly, by Angry Anderson. Especially For You was one of the first number one hit singles in 1989 (after Gene Pitney and Marc Almond IIRC).

Whatever you think of their sound, they made an absolute mint and you could argue they rescued one or two established but fading names' careers.

Cliff Richard, Donna Summer (no less!), Liza Minelli and so on.
Whereas I'll never forgive them for the Reynold Girls (they who would rather Jack than Fleetwood Mac - lyrics or what?) they did some decent stuff (I actually like a lot of their Kylie stuff and Brother Beyond).

I wish they'd SAWd Morrissey - that could have resulted in a very interesting sound indeed.

Nah, think about it.

Suedehead but with a tacky drum machine sound and a video with Mozza wearing those pale jeans, leather jacket and floppy haircut, smiling to the camera.

Everyday Is Like Sunday with dancers on Scarborough Beach (remember Seaside Special?), Stephen Patrick bopping away underneath a multicoloured umbrella.

Howsabout a duet version of November Spawned A Monster with Jason Donovan?

Man, they'd make Simon Cowell look like an amateur.

And did you cry when Madge "died" in Neighbours? I did... Even though I'd already read that it was going to happen in that week's TV magazine... It was just so sad the way they portrayed the death *sniff*
