What am I doing working for a living when I could be selling empty cardboard boxes for nearly three hundred and fifty quid?

Is it just me that thinks the seller of said box is soon going to be on the recieving end of a lawsuit...one that he'll most likely lose?:suspect:

He quite clearly states in his ad what it is. Don't see how he could be on the receiving end of a lawsuit for it!

Plus the winner is 'no longer a registered user of ebay' seems he did a runner instead of coughing up !

You have to remember that the US is a country in which a guy sued the makers of his camper van after he walked into the back to make a coffee in the belief that the "cruise control" mentioned in the manual was going to drive the thing for him. The thing crashed of course, but at the trial the judge ruled that because the manual hadn't stated that (despite the fact it was common sense) the company was in the wrong and ordered them to compensate the chap, replace the vehicle and amend the manual.

The language the ebay seller uses is deliberatly confusing and plays on the fact that most people never read the small print and only see what they want to. He also states that the posted image is not that of the item for sale; surely this is not allowed on the site?

I think this was a clever prank, but some US states operate avery lowest common denominator policy in these matters.

Always read the small print, unless you have deep pockets!

This just adds further evidence to my theory that some Americans are complete f***ing morons... :lol:
