Ruskin Park Fun Day 2011
Hi Everyone!
Friends of Ruskin Park are proud to announce the date of this year's Ruskin Park Fun Day:
Come and join us on Saturday 9th July, 1-6pm, in Ruskin Park, Walkley, for a free day of live entertainment and family fun! Ruskin Park Fun Day is part of the annual Walkley Festival, taking place from 25th June - 10th July 2011.
As always there will be live music all afternoon from a variety of groups including the St Mary's School Band, as well as folk, rock, jazz etc. The University of Sheffield students will be there to tell us about the great recycling and reduction schemes in place at the university and to help us decorate numbered stickers for our bins. Madame Zucchini, our local vegetable entertainer will be there, as well as a Town Crier who will keep us all informed about what is taking place in the park.
This year sees the return of local favourite, the Pantomime Animal Race, and those wishing to participate will have the chance to make costumes for the event under the supervision of Art in the Park, who will be bringing along their usual enthusiasm and creativity. Face painting and the bouncy castle will be back, and this year sees the addition of a mobile climbing wall. There will also be lots of market stalls providing goods for sale and information, including popular Tracy from Townshead Gardens.
*If you would like to book a stall or have any questions about the festival, please send me a private message and I will get back to you with my personal contact details as soon as possible.*
