I live in Walkley and have a poor 1mb/s broadband connection with AOL.
A friend of mine thinks it could be something to do with my extension cable and suggests using a wireless router.
Does anyone know anything about these and do you have to have a special ISP to get one.
Comments would be most appreciated.

You can buy a wireless router/modem from any good electrical/computer shop, such as PC World, Comet etc.

To use it you will need a wireless network card in your pc or laptop, which are very simple to fit - the shop where you buy the modem/router and network card will be able to give advice on this.

You don't need to have any special ISP, you just connect using your usual broadband username and password if you have one.
