Just wondering?

Obviously, you cant like them as much as me but i was just wondering if there is anyone else on here who likes them?

Green Day. Fantastic. 'American Idiot' is an excellent album, but 'Warning' is better :D .

American Idiot is awesome, as is Warning. Theres only one album I dont listen to alot and thats the Smoothed Out Slapper Hours one.

No, I haven't got that one. I must admit to being relatively new to Green Day. I remember the single Basket Case from about 10 years ago, but I didn't get into them until after the last album. So far, I've got American Idiot, Warning, Nimrod and Dookie.

its the new fad for everyone to like green day it seems... agreed their last album was prob their best so far.. but i still prefer the hits from dookie.

i dont like the guy playin guitar backstage when they play live... just get him onstage... silly people.

but yeah.. good band, catchy songs.. fun.. and easy to play on guitar for budding players :)

Yeah, I like Green Day - one of the very, very few American bands I admire. They sort-of remind me of the Clash, which is about the highest praise I can offer.

Loved "Basket Case" all those years ago, and love "American Idiot" now. One of the very best recent albums. I think it's brilliant the way they've managed to sound so fresh and vital on the album, like a new band, and come across like they're really enjoying what they're doing after all this time.

Yeah thats Jason White who plays the other guitar. Theres also another one called Jason(?) Freese who plays the trumpet at their gigs.

I cant pic a favourite song, I like loads of them.

early Green Day (tempted to type Greenday just for Kirsty:) ) is good and the last album is good. A bit ropey in the middle though.

They were good live though

Their first album smoothed out slappy hours is not very good. Kerplunk, Nimrod, Insomniac, Warning, Shenanigans etc are all brilliant but by far American Idiot is their best album yet!

:suspect: and dookie??.. i think dookie is more fun than american idiot.. but yeah i agree that its prob their best album so far.

No No and No cant stand them, dont like that type of music :gag: all sounds the same to me.

I got into them around 2003 - and first heard Dookie, then Nimord - got into the rest after that...

I like some of the offsprings songs but Iv not got any of their albums. Il have to get it when iv got some money.

No, not really my cup of tea. A mate of mine saw em' in Milton Keynes and said it was the best gig he'd ever been too.

Some good songs but I think they lack consistancy

Yeah, Green Day are good. I only really got into them recently. Love 'American Idiot' & 'International Superhits' - I haven't got any of their other albums, but I want to at some point.

Cant stand greenday anymore, they are just:gag: .

Liked them 10 years ago before they sold out.

Someone mentioned offspring; another decent american punk band 10 years ago and smash is a great album but again all their recent stuff is just:gag:

Saying that in defence of both greenday and offspring i think i'm just getting a bit sick of punk full stop. Use to really like it years ago and sex pistols were a very early influance.

Some people will argue you cant compare punk of pistols to greenday and offspring...thats their choice, no bickering from me:P

Heard some punk in corp other monday and it just does nothing for me. Sad really i guess:( Maybe i'm growing up at last...nah!:D

I used to be a huge fan when I was in my mid-to-late teens and still do enjoy their albums upto and including Nimrod. However, Warning is middle-of-the-road rubbish and sounds like they were on valium when they were making it. American Idiot on the other hand is probably one of the best they've ever done. Just a shame that the singles were overplayed and the music videos were mostly naff,
