SilentStatic 28-02-2004, 10:11 PM Hi, could anyone recommend an *up to date* site that has info on all the clubs in Sheffield please? I've tried stuff like Itchy Sheffield, but it doesn't have details we need for different nights.
I'm trying to build up a list of entry prices/ music policy etc for different club nights so that I can appear knowledgeable when people ask me about trendy clubs
(I only know about Rock and Indie clubs)
Thanks a lot for any help,
Martin
SilentStatic 29-02-2004, 12:29 AM Ah, finally found this (http://www.sheffieldbase.com/guide/guide.php) hidden in the SheffieldBase site. Has most of what I need :)
brocco 29-02-2004, 05:56 AM It's a little out of date though, isn't it?
Refers to a night called Pressure @ the Arches - does anyone know if this is still running?
Apparently it's on the 3rd Friday of every month.
SilentStatic 29-02-2004, 11:58 AM ooer, please someone tell me if it's out of date - I wouldn't know...
Mosherchik 29-02-2004, 12:01 PM Theres a monthly rag you can pick up in most pubs and bars called Alive and that has up to date info on club nights. Think they have a website too www.alive.co.uk (I think this is right but the website is not as good)
SilentStatic 29-02-2004, 12:32 PM Thanks, I'd not heard of that. Can you tell me a couple of places I can find it please? (The closer to Sheff Uni the better)
Mosherchik 29-02-2004, 12:36 PM They used to have piles of Alive mag in Cavendish and in City Hall with all the other leaflets, they have em in Yorkie Grey sometimes but I tend to get mine from Westways (formally Rat and Parrot) on West St

bassman-x 02-03-2004, 12:02 AM pressure is definitely not still on at the arches, it was only around for 3 months or so, shame cos it was a decent night.
If you're looking for something to do on Friday 26th March come down to Transmission at the Earl for a range of styles including but not limited to dub, funk, soul, hip-hop, breaks, DnB, techno, jungle, house combined with an excellent vibe and an up-for-it crowd!
For more info check out:
http://www.transmissionsheffield.co.uk
you should try getting the sandman leaflet (in addition to the magazine), which lists pretty much everything on. Try store records (division street), the showroom, lowlife records (hicmott rd, off ecc rd) muse (west st), and probably loads of other places.
brocco 02-03-2004, 01:41 AM Cheers Bassman.
Might just check out Transmission, sounds good.
SilentStatic 02-03-2004, 12:32 PM OK cheers. I've been picking up the magazine from uni for the last couple of years and was pleasantly surprised to find a guide in this issue just yesterday!
I have plenty of info now.
