With the new city centre coming on the scene soon. Will B.T spruce up the B.T Building above that multi story car park? By the way. Is the building supported by the car park? or does the building have its own foundations?

BT doesn't own that building anymore they sold it several years ago when competition started to bite.

Does it just rent it out then? I take it they still use it for telecommunication purposes?

It is owned by another company and BT rents it, it is used by BT as offices and call centres
To the best of my knowledge I think that the building is being levelled and more city living apartments plus some commercial buildings are going there.
However I could be wrong, the plans could have changed. If I find out what's going on I will post back.

I am not sure that there are plans to level the building, I would be suprised if this is correct
It's been looked at in the past, but everyone soon realised that it would be outrageously expensive to move / replace the data cabling that goes into that building. The new NRQ scheme works around it.
The BT building will stay as long as it stands up or until technology makes a huge leap to make it redundant.
