Chip and PIN enabled cards are an improvement, but they won't resolve all card fraud.

For legacy reasons (those shops that are too cheap to buy and / or afraid of new chip and PIN terminals) many chip and PIN enabled cards still have a magnetic strip on the back of them, so scammers can still nick your card details...

I'm a bit daunted by the new self serve checkouts at Tesco. I used a credit card there last week and all you have to do is swipe it. I thought that you would have to at least put in your code.

Whoa. I've been using those for months, and it totally hadn't occurred to me that there was something 'missing' from the procedure. That's nasty...

Do you think there should be a complaint about it as I really don't think it's safe?
